The California Cruise

I remember it was a Wednesday night, and I was bored out of my mind. I had this urge to really go out, do something, and be somewhere. I wanted to see California. Thursday night came, and I found myself packing my things. I looked at maps deciding where I wanted to go and what I wanted to see. I had decided on traveling north of San Francisco on Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1). I didn’t really know where to stop and I knew I could drive on for days, but I only had 2 days off work. I planned to stop at Salt Point State Park which is north of Jenner.
I left on Friday at noon, but the one mistake that I made and didn’t realize was that it was Labor day weekend. People were getting out and going camping. Realizing this, I decided to stop short at Stillwater Cove Regional park and ended up getting the last lot at the campsite. Once I made camp, I went out for a hike and drove around to look for some views. Here are the highlights of my trip:
This little adventure along the north coast of California was what I needed. There’s so much out there to be discovered and seen. I’ve come across some of the most amazing and inspirational people along the way. I will never forget this journey and what it’s taught me. Perhaps one day, I’ll compile my photos of my future road trips along highway 1 into a book. There’s so much more to see out there.
